The Upward Call Bible School (UCBS)
The program is intended to be a progressively intense Bible study with two main objectives:
- To bring a greater revelation and understanding of the mystery of Christ (Col. 4.3), and
- For the spiritual maturity of the individual as well as the Church (Eph. 4.11-16).
The overarching purpose for the courses of study is not for mere intellectual growth and stimulation, nor for attaining accreditation for a particular office or function in the Church. Rather focus is on personal spiritual transformation in which the Word of God actually and effectively works “in” the believer, by faith, in order to become, to will, and to do, according to God’s good purpose (Phil. 2.13). Thus, the building up of the Church comes first to the individual then to the corporate whole.
